Aljamain Sterling, former UFC champion and friend of Merab Dvalishvili, has spoken out about the Georgian fighter's upcoming bout with Umar Nurmagomedov.
"I think Merab will shut up a lot of skeptics and prove to a lot of people that he is exactly who he thinks he is. No disrespect to Umar. To me, it all comes down to the fact that one of them has already done a great job and the other is elevated by the merits of his relative. I understand that he is trying to put his name in history, but facts remain facts. It remains to be seen if Umar is truly who he wants to appear to be," MMAJunkie quoted Sterling as saying.
