Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington explained why he believes Arman Tsarukyan is the favorite in his upcoming bout with lightweight division titleholder Islam Makhachev.
"I think Arman can do it. He's a real athlete, just look at how plastic he is. The way Arman got out of Oliveira's choke hold is impressive. Tsarukyan also has a better coach. I believe in Arman: he is an athlete, he has great power in his hands, he believes in his punches and can knock out Makhachev," Covington said in an interview with Submission Radio.
Recall that Makhachev and Tsarukyan will meet on January 18 in the main event of Tournament 311 in Los Angeles, USA.
