Sonnen supports Whittaker's move up to flyweight

Former UFC fighter and current commentator and analyst Chael Sonnen has spoken out about Robert Whittaker's future career.

"I like the idea of him moving up to flyweight. The Robert Whittaker vs. Anthony Smith fight is very interesting to me in this division. I can see meaningful matchups for Robert Whittaker in this weight class from the start, and you know what I can't do? Name any interesting fights for Robert at middleweight right now. Nothing comes to mind at all.

Robert Whittaker vs Khalil Rountree is the main event of any tournament right now. I definitely support Whittaker in this idea of moving up in weight," MMA Junkie quoted Sonnen as saying.
