Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, broke the silence and commented on the court decision that found him guilty of rape.
"People want an answer from me, but I needed time. I know I made mistakes. Six years ago I shouldn't have responded to her provocations. I should have ended the party. I shouldn't have cheated on the woman I love most in the world. It was entirely my fault. As much as I regret what happened, everything that happened that night was consensual, all the witnesses swore under oath. I have instructed my lawyers to file an appeal," McGregor wrote on social media X.
