Chandler: "I think the next opponent will be McGregor"

Former UFC lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler isn't giving up hope of a money fight with Conor McGregor.

"It looks like Conor is going to be next. I'm not saying it's realistic, but I'm sure if he does, his path will go right through Nashville, Tennessee. We have to complete The Ultimate Fighter story, the UFC wants it, Conor wants to fight me. He can fight whoever he wants to fight, but he made a promise.

I think Conor wants to see it through. Honestly, he needs to come back, he needs to chase something or he's going to chase the wrong thing. And if he does that, then I'm waiting for him. I happen to consider myself one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. People will pay good money to see me fight," the American said in an interview with Bussin' With The Boys.

Recall that last weekend at UFC 309 Chandler lost on points to Charles Oliveira.
