British UFC middleweight Michael Page assessed Hamzat Chimaev's win over former division champion Robert Whittaker at the UFC 308 show.
"Did I expect the fight to turn out this way? To tell you the truth, no. I have to say I was very impressed with Hamzat. And it wasn't just the finish, although obviously it was terrific.
I was impressed with his patience. Usually he puts on a frenzy in the first round and doesn't stop, but this time he looked more collected. He was picking his stance for his punches, and that's the kind of guy Hamzat is capable of going five rounds. That's a danger to anyone in the division," Page said in an interview with YouTube channel Red Corner MMA.
Recall that Chimaev finished Whittaker in the first round.
