Makhachev's coach contradicted White

Javier Mendes, Islam Makhachev's mentor, disagrees with UFC boss Dana White, who says Islam is undeservedly at the top of the organization's P4P rankings.

"If Jon Jones was active, maybe I'd have a different opinion, but when was the last time Jon Jones fought? How can you be the best regardless of weight if you don't fight? You have to fight, you have to be active. You can't call yourself number one pound-for-pound. Can we call him one of the greatest fighters in history? Absolutely. But the best in the P4P rankings? Absolutely not. You have to be active for that, and he's not active."
