UFC British welterweight Arnold Allen has spoken out about Elijah Topuria's recent early victory over Max Holloway, and also stated his willingness to share the octagon with the Georgian champion.
"In terms of styles, I was originally betting on Topuria. I wasn't really surprised that he knocked Max out. He regularly got into exchanges that left his head hanging unprotected. I didn't like that, so Topuria's win came as a surprise to me. Plus, he's missed a lot of punches in his career, once the cumulative effect kicks in.
Max is a warrior, Elijah did well too. He hits clean and hard. He promised to knock Max out and he delivered on that promise. But I'm not afraid of Topuria. We don't compete in the UFC to avoid anyone. I want to fight the best because I am confident in my abilities," stated Allen.
