Team Volkanovski has not confirmed negotiations for the Lopez fight

The team of former UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski has not confirmed negotiations for a bout with Diego Lopez.

"Talked to Ash Belcastro, Volkanovski's manager. They haven't negotiated with the UFC about fighting Diego Lopez in Sydney. It's a possibility, but nothing is in the works yet. If Volkanovski is going to fight in Sydney, it will be for the title," insider Brendan Bradford wrote on social media X.
