Bisping: "Topuria is on her way to becoming a bigger star than McGregor"

British mixed martial arts titlist Michael Bisping believes UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria could surpass Conor McGregor in popularity.

"I think he's on his way to becoming an even bigger star than Conor McGregor ever was. Going out and doing it with Max Holloway, talking, doing, selling fights, and all on style. He made it look easy, made Max Holloway run a few times. What made the difference? Power. That left hook - it was crushing.

The King of Spain was in the audience, it was unbelievable. If that doesn't tell you this guy is a superstar in Spain, and soon to be a world superstar, nothing will. Topuria was already a big star, but after UFC 308 it's a different level, completely different. He makes the crowd eat out of the palm of his hand," Bisping told TNT.

As a reminder, Topuria made the first defense of his title this past weekend, knocking out Max Holloway at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
