UFC lightweight division fighter Umar Nurmagomedov announced that Merab Dvalishvili refused to fight him, citing injury.

"The UFC tried to organize this fight, offered him to fight me in December or January, but he said he was injured. He said, 'Give me Umar in February or March,' but they already have a title fight for February and the tournament is in Australia - he knew they wouldn't put us there. So then he said, 'I'll fight Umar in March.' The interesting thing is that he was ready to fight O'Malley in November, but he wasn't ready to fight me."
