UFC flyweight champion Merab Dvalishvili said he plans to fight Umar Nurmagomedov early next year.
"The UFC hasn't officially contacted me yet regarding my first title defense. A lot of fighters have started to run their mouths, everyone wants to get my attention. Probably Umar will be my next opponent, as many people support his candidacy. Dagestani fighters usually don't fight in Ramadan, so probably our fight will be earlier. Perhaps in the spring - in February or March," Dvalishvili said in an interview with She Loves The Gloves.
Dvalishvili won the title on September 14 at UFC 306 in Las Vegas, USA, defeating Sean O'Malley by unanimous decision.
