UFC lightweight champion Merab Dvalishvili addressed undefeated prospect Umar Nurmagomedov, accusing him of lying.
"Umar, now not only do I have no respect for you, I think you're a liar. If the UFC offered you to fight me twice - show the fans the contract and the dates. They offered me to fight you right after I beat Petr Yan with a broken hand. I accepted the fight verbally, even though I was the No. 1 contender even with a broken hand and you were No. 13 in the rankings. Eventually the doctor said I couldn't fight now and I had surgery.
So if the UFC is giving you a title defense - why the hell are you talking bullshit? I'm done with you because you keep lying - you've lost my respect as a person and a fighter. I'm waiting for a response from the UFC," Dvalishvili wrote in X.
