UFC women's bantamweight champion Valentina Shevchenko doesn't hide her surprise at the fact that many colleagues in the octagon considered her an outsider in her third fight with Alexa Grasso.
"It came as a surprise to me that a lot of UFC fighters, professional fighters were betting on Grasso to win. It seemed like something biased.
I would understand if such a prediction was given by people who don't know MMA, who just want to watch the fight, to see whose chin is stronger. Who don't need technique, fighter IQ and fortitude. I'd take it from people like that, but here were professional fighters betting against me.... There's something wrong with this world. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to dominate Grasso. I wanted to show that I am stronger in all aspects," - quotes Shevchenko MMA Fighting.
Recall that on September 14 at UFC 306 in Las Vegas, USA, Shevchenko defeated Grasso on points and regained the belt in the 125-pound division.
