Khabib Nurmagomedov: 'Usman can become one of the greatest'

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov commented on the victory of his third cousin, Bellator lightweight belt holder Usman Nurmagomedov over Alexander Shabliy.

"Today was an amazing day for our whole team. Usman did an amazing job. He has shown the world why he is one of the best in the world and he continues to grow. He just turned 26 and I believe he will have a great, great future. He's already made history by winning and defending his title three times, but can you imagine what's going to happen in five or six years if this guy doesn't relax? He'll be able to put his name on the list of the greatest fighters ever. That's what I believe in," stated Nurmagomedov.

Recall, Nurmagomedov defeated Shablia by unanimous decision of judges in the main event of the Bellator Champions Series 4 tournament in San Diego.
