Top UFC lightweight fighter Merab Dvalishvili speculated on who should fight for the belt in his division next.
As a reminder, Dvalishvili will attempt to take the title away from current champion Sean O'Malley in the main event of UFC 306 on September 14 in Las Vegas, USA.
"The next title challenger should be Deiveson Figueredo. He deserves a fight for the belt because he beat a former champion, a top contender, and also Rob Font. Figueredo is a former UFC champion himself, he deserves a title shot.
Because Umar Nurmagomedov only beat Cory Sandhagen out of the top 15. Just one guy! Why does he deserve a title fight? That's my opinion. Figueredo is more deserving. Umar hasn't fought anyone yet and he's already ranked #2 in the rankings," MMA Junkie quoted Dvalishvili as saying.
