UFC CEO Dana White has announced that the promotion's top star, former two-weight champion Conor McGregor, will not return to the octagon this year.
"Conor wants to fight, but it's not going to happen this year. He's not going to fight this year," ESPN MMA quoted White as saying.
The Irish scandalized fighter did not ignore Dana's words:
"Ah, Dana, December is the right date! I'll finish the calendar year with a winning tournament! Come on, what is it? Next month I'll start preparing. December! Tell Dana and the UFC that we all want December! We deserve to see each other in December!", - Conor wrote in X.
Recall that the 36-year-old McGregor has not competed since July 2021, when he lost early to Dustin Puryear due to a broken leg.
