Usman reveals his plan to regain the title

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman said he expects to get a contender's bout that will allow him to take on freshly crowned "King" of the division, Belal Muhammad.

"Now because of Edwards' loss, the UFC will say, 'OK, we want to give Usman a fight to really show the fans that he's back and ourselves that he's back and deserves a chance to potentially go out and reclaim that title.' To do that, get him someone from the top. It could be Shavkat Rakhmonov or Jack Della Maddalena," Usman said on the Pound-4-Pound podcast.

To recap, Muhammad won a unanimous decision over Leon Edwards last weekend at UFC 304 in Manchester.
