American mixed martial arts titleholder Daniel Cormier has spoken out about a potential fight between UFC absolute heavyweight champion Jon Jones and interim titleholder Tom Aspinall.
"At the end of the day, we're looking at the best heavyweight on the planet. Because I don't know if Johns is going to beat this guy. But I'm not going to be quick to say that Jon is afraid of him or that a win over Jon is predetermined. Because I've been in the octagon with Jones. I know how tough he is, how smart he is, and I know how much he loves to compete. And if you love to compete as much as this guy does, he should never be discounted in a fight," Cormier said on the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast.
As a reminder, Aspinall knocked out Curtis Blades in the first round this past weekend at UFC 304.
