Edwards to Muhammad: "At one time I trained with Khabib too. So what?"

UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards is not at all concerned about the fact that his next opponent, Belal Muhammad, has often trained with Khabib Nurmagomedov's team in recent years.

The Brit and the American will fight in the main event of UFC 304, which takes place on the night of July 28 in Manchester, UK.

"I think everybody knows that his plan for the fight is going to be to come out and try to wrestle me, but he's not Khabib or St-Pierre, he's Belal. I'm not Conor and he's not Khabib. He can't use Khabib to praise himself.

You're not Khabib. You didn't grow up with Khabib. You trained with him a little bit, that's all. I trained with Khabib in my time, too. So what? Nothing. Belal is using another man's work to boost his confidence, but he's not even close to doing the same job," the Brit said at the press conference before UFC 304.
