"I want to get out of the sport before the whole sport gets out of me. I like the number 41. Maybe by the time I'm 40 I'll still feel like I'm capable of a lot. At 41, I definitely won't be looking into the future. The last thing I want to do is wake up and force myself to go to the gym. I'm going to keep fighting as long as I'm excited about the thought of fighting and sparring in training. I have it in me right now and I keep going. When that feeling goes away, it will be a sign that it's time to call it a day. Maybe it will happen before my 40th birthday," Ngannou said on Joe Rogan's podcast.
