UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has assessed the likelihood of a rematch with Alexander Volkov, whom he defeated early in March 2022.
"The first time we fought, it didn't go so well for him. I can't say for sure what will happen in the future, but I'm open to any challenge. Volkov is a tough opponent. I managed to beat him in the first round then, and I believe I can do the same again. I don't want to disrespect Volkov as I think he is a great fighter, but I just think I am better than him. However, every fight in MMA is special, so he certainly has the skills to beat me. I can't say anything bad about him, but in terms of skill, I consider myself better," Sherdog quoted Aspinall as saying.
As a reminder, Aspinall will share the octagon with Curtis Blades at UFC 305 in Manchester on the night of July 28.
