Sonnen doubts that Makachev will return to lightweight

Chael Sonnen, former UFC fighter and now commentator, expressed confidence that former promotion champion in lightweight Islam Makachev will not be able to return to this division.

“Islam’s return to lightweight seems unlikely to me. I won’t believe it if Islam succeeds in welterweight. The biggest challenge Islam has faced in his career, his most unpleasant experience — is the necessity to weigh 70 kg on the scales,” said Sonnen on his YouTube channel.
