Former UFC bantamweight champion Jiri Prochazka revealed that he faced multiple health issues before his rematch with current titleholder Alex Pereira.
"The last two weeks have not been favorable for my health, although I have tried to pretend that everything is fine. It manifested itself in a staph infection, inflammation on my body after a tick bite, an unhealed wound on my leg and back pain after lifting weights," MMA Mania quoted Czech as saying.
Recall that on June 30 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, USA, Prochazka lost to Pereira by knockout in the second round. Their first fight, which took place last November, ended the same way.
