Daniel Cormier, former UFC champion in two weight classes and current commentator and analyst, advised Ikram Aliskerov to keep his head up after his early loss to Robert Whittaker.
"Aliskerov shouldn't put his head down. He's only had two fights in the UFC, both fights he won by knockout. I understand why they gave him the fight with Whittaker. He showed he was ready to perform at the highest level. Whittaker didn't let him prove himself, but Ikram has nothing to worry about. He has a great future ahead of him if he draws the right conclusions from the loss. Although I'm always worried about guys who fly off to a knockout like that at the start of their career. It's hard to react appropriately to something like that. I want to see what he does next," Cormier said in a video on his channel.
