UFC CEO Dana White commented on the replacement of Khamzat Chimaev with Ikram Aliskerov in his fight with Robert Whittaker.
"It was an interesting situation as we had to look for a replacement in the main fight of the tournament in Saudi Arabia, which will take place as early as next week. But we managed to find a replacement in the person of Ikram Aliskerov, who has a 15-1 record and who last lost to Hamzat Chimaev. Everyone in the division refused to fight him, except Robert Whittaker. I am very pleased with the replacement in the person of Ikram," - quotes the UFC president Sports Business Journal.
Recall, the fight Whittaker with Aliskerov will be held on June 22 in Saudi Arabia.
