Dana White commented on the cancellation of Chimaev's fight with Whittaker

UFC CEO Dana White has spoken out about Hamzat Chimaev pulling out of his fight against Robert Whittaker due to health issues.

"Unfortunately, Hamzat is pulling out of next weekend's fight in Saudi Arabia. He's very sick so he's going home and hopefully he'll get better soon," BJ Penn quoted White as saying.

The fight between Chimaev and Whittaker was scheduled for June 22 and was supposed to headline the UFC tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Recall, the new opponent Whittaker became Ikram Aliskerov.
