Sonnen: "If McGregor doesn't come out to fight Chandler, consider him retired from the sport"

Retired mixed martial arts veteran, analyst and expert Chel Sonnen commented on the rumors gaining momentum that the scheduled June 19 bout between former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will be canceled.

"McGregor vs. Chandler. Is the fight going to happen or not? Right now, I'm very reserved in my predictions. The press conference being canceled is not something I can turn a blind eye to. I could never ignore the fact that the press conference was canceled. Why did it happen? I realize Conor wouldn't have attended it, but why cancel? This has happened before.

If McGregor doesn't come out to fight on June 29 to fight Michael Chandler, consider him announcing his retirement from the sport," Sonnen said on his YouTube channel.
