Michael Chandler, a UFC lightweight, had to explain his words that he and his wife "don't raise black children". What Michael meant was that they raise their children in a way that they don't think about the color of their skin, and those words drew criticism from the public in the United States

"I think that piece obviously could have been cut out..... those five seconds could have been cut out, and of course I would say: "Wait a second." But if you go deeper, all I wanted to convey was that the color of their skin is not the most important thing about them. Maybe I'm wrong in saying this, maybe other people will disagree with me. The most important thing about a man is being a man, and his virtues, the qualities necessary to be a good man."
