George St. Pierre, former UFC champion in two weight classes, answered the question of who would win in a hypothetical confrontation between Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
"It's hard to say. Khabib is better in position, better on the ground, better with his takedowns. I have to say right away, I don't know these guys, I haven't trained with them. This is purely my analysis of their fights. On the other hand, Makhachev is a better striker. Islam is more aggressive, always looking for an opportunity to throw a takedown. Khabib has more power in his striking, while Makhachev is taller and more agile," said St. Pierre in an interview with Tristar Gym.
