Ali Abdel-Aziz, a well-known manager in the world of mixed martial arts, stated that former UFC champion Amanda Nunez left the promotion on purpose to avoid facing Kayla Harrison in the octagon.

"Amanda did everything she could to not face her. She resigned because Kayla was going to the UFC. Even earlier, she resigned from the ATT club because Kayla was training there. She turned her back on people who had done a lot for her because Kayla was getting more attention. Kayla was her biggest nightmare, and that's why Amanda left."
