Chael Sonnen, former UFC fighter and current analyst, compared Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov to each other.
"Finding a flaw in Islam is very difficult. You have to be very critical. But in the fight against Porier, there were moments when Islam fought in the stand-up. There were moments when Islam even backed away from Dustin. There were moments when Islam gave Dustin an opportunity to win. I only mention this because I'm comparing an average fight between Islam Makhachev and an average fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov. Islam allowed himself things that Khabib didn't. Islam opened up in ways that Khabib didn't. I'm impressed with Makhachev's performance, but I think he showed stubbornness and selfishness. He shouldn't be doing this. He should go into the octagon and win," Sonnen said on his YouTube channel.
