Former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski announced his readiness to replace Conor McGregor in a fight with Michael Chandler, which is scheduled to take place on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, USA.
On June 3, the promotion unexpectedly canceled a press conference with the fighters in Dublin, Ireland. Against this backdrop, rumors of McGregor's possible injury began to intensify.
"You hear all this talk, what's going on with Conor McGregor. Maybe they need a replacement again at late notice, so I'm always ready to come out," Volkanovski told Submission Radio.
Recall that Volkanovski was knocked out by Elijah Topuria in his last fight, which took place in February.
