"Was on a roll from the win." Iaquinta recalled the fight with Khabib

Former UFC fighter Al Iaquinta recalled his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, saying he was one punch away from victory in that fight.

"I had nothing to lose, I was just thrown into that maelstrom. I didn't lay down until two, but that was the plan. I was ready for a big challenge, but I kept my composure. I was one stroke away from winning! It was the craziest weekend of my life. Remember the attack on the bus? I thought it was terrorists! One of the guys curled up like a plane crash. I was looking around thinking, "What the hell is going on?" Then I saw Conor," Iaquinta said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Recall, Iaquinta lost to Khabib by unanimous decision of judges. The fight took place in 2018.
