Famous American mixed martial arts veteran Daniel Cormier expressed his opinion that former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Puryear should not end his career after losing to full titleholder Islam Makhachev.

Last weekend, the American lost to the Dagestani with a choke hold in the fifth round. The fight took place in the main event of UFC 302 in Newark, USA.

"I don't want him to leave. I'm not sure he should do that. Dustin Porier can take big fights. He's very popular in the mixed martial arts world right now, so he has a great opportunity to make a lot of money and compete in big fights.

He's only 35 years old, so he can do MMA for a long time to come. Maybe he shouldn't fight too often, but he doesn't have to finish. Because if you quit, it might not be possible to come back," Comrieux said in a fresh edition of the author's YouTube channel.
