UFC CEO Dana White commented on the promotion's lightweight champion Islam Makhachev's desire for a welterweight title fight.

"A fight with Edwards? Makhachev didn't discuss it with us. Islam has achieved a lot in the lightweight division. We'll have to talk it over and think about it. He is one of the best in the world.
