Makhachev promises a finish to Puryear

Islam Makhachev, UFC lightweight champion, commented on the altercation with the number four ranked lightweight Dustin Porier.

"Dustin said some bad words at the press conference. But at the weigh-in ceremony, we worked it out. He apologized and said I misunderstood him. I have a lot of respect for Puryear. He's a legend in our sport. But I will still finish him," said Makhachev in an interview with the YouTube channel ESPN MMA.

Recall that the fight between Makhachev and Puryear will take place on June 2 and will headline UFC 302.
