Makhachev disagrees that his record is inferior to Puryear's record

Islam Makhachev, UFC lightweight champion, during an interview with Daniel Cormier, disagreed that his record is inferior to Dustin Puryear's.

"It doesn't make sense. I beat the guy who beat him. I agree that he has more big names on his record, but that doesn't mean anything. Brother, do you remember anyone challenging me when I wasn't champion? I don't remember any of the top guys calling my name, saying, 'I want to fight Islam.' All my life I've had that problem, but now it's over with. Now people need my belt," Makhachev said.

We will remind, on the night of June 2 in Newark Makhachev will hold a fight with Dustin Porier.
