Top American fighter of the UFC lightweight division Cory Sandhagen commented on the title ambitions of legendary Brazilian Jose Aldo.

Recall that Aldo defeated Jonath Martinez by unanimous decision of judges on May 4 at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro, USA. For the 37-year-old Brazilian, this fight became the first in MMA since August 2022.

"It's not going to happen. I love Aldo, he's the man. But you can't come back after your career is over, beat a guy at the bottom of the rankings and then fight for the title. I love Aldo, but it's not going to happen. There are too many good fighters in the division," Sandhagen said on The MMA Hour show.
