Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is still of the opinion that he could have conquered the welterweight division at the peak of his career.
"I wouldn't have made a statement about performing at flyweight if I didn't think I could do it at the time. At the beginning of the fight, everyone has power, but if you move your opponent into the parterre, the course of the fight changes completely. And that's exactly what I was going to do. Glover Teixeira did the same thing with Blachowicz," MMA Junkie quoted Usman as saying.
Recall that Usman has not stepped into the octagon since last October, when he lost by majority decision to Hamzat Chimaev.
