Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington isn't giving up trying to get a bout with Hamzat Chimaev.
"As a five-round fight, I'm very intrigued to fight Hamzat Chimaev. I've always said I'd like to fight Hamzat in the main event of the evening. I don't think he's up to that kind of challenge.
He doesn't have the best cardio. Usman came out against him at short notice in his last fight and I think Kamaru beat him. He threw more punches. Hamzat will be exposed soon. He has bad cardio, he's not as good as everyone thinks he is," MMA Mania quoted Covington as saying.
Recall that his last fight Covington held in December last year, losing by unanimous decision to Leon Edwards.
