Former UFC bantamweight title challenger Anthony Smith said the promotion's former middleweight champion Shawn Strickland has really impressed him in their joint workouts.
"This one is really good. I don't want to talk too much about what happened in sparring, but deep down I was shocked at how good Shawn is because he only shows a fraction of his game in fights.
He has a much broader arsenal than he shows in fights. The first thing I said to him after sparring was, "Why aren't you doing that in your fights?" Shawn controlled me in the parterre for three rounds in a row. It was crazy," - quotes the words of Smith MMA Mania.
Recall that Strickland will share the octagon with Paulo Costa on June 1 at UFC 302 in Newark, USA.
