Garbrandt cited the reason for Figueredo's defeat

Cody Garbrandt, former UFC lightweight champion, commented on his loss to Deiveson Figueredo.

"I felt great in the fight until I started experiencing dizziness. Because of this, I couldn't control my spinning when the fight went to the floor. Hats off to Daveson and his team! I ended up in the hospital suffering from dizziness and vomiting until four in the morning. I've been suffering from vertigo since 2012 and I'm going to try to fix it. Thank you to the fans who came out to support me. It wasn't my night, but I love what I do. I will be back in the octagon before the end of the year," the fighter wrote on his social networks.
