BMF belt holder Justin Gaethje has revealed that he suffered a concussion a few days before his fight with Charles Oliveira.
"I want to say that 18 days before the fight with Charles, I got a concussion while riding my bike. I had previously stated that he was the toughest guy to ever hit me, but the concussion was a big factor in the perception of his punches. Imagine what it would be like to fall headfirst onto concrete. Despite this circumstance, I was still focused on the fight and motivated to win. The fight was in my home country, and I didn't even think for a second about backing out of the fight. But it was my injury that allowed his punches to be so effective. It's a serious life lesson that I've learned well," Low Kick MMA quoted Gatji as saying.
