It has been officially confirmed that WBC light middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) will meet former world welterweight champion Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) at the Premier Boxing Champions event in Las Vegas on March 28.
The fight was initially scheduled for October 25 but was postponed due to Fundora's hand injury. The 27-year-old boxer had two fights last year, the last one in July, where he scored an early victory against Tim Tszyu. Thurman returned to the ring in March last year after a three-year hiatus and also won by knockout against Brock Jarvis.
At the same event, there will likely be an IBF heavyweight title eliminator between Richard Torrez and Frank Sanchez.
