Eleven days ago, Viktor Vyhryst (17-1, 11 KO) won the European champion title under the WBO version and will likely debut in the World Boxing Organization rankings soon. On March 25, during a boxing evening in Budapest, he will have a 10-round fight against Polish veteran Mariusz Wach (39-12, 20 KO).
The previous fight of the Ukrainian was quite fleeting—Todorche Tsvetkov (14-4, 11 KO) missed a body shot and refused to continue the fight only 18 seconds after it began. This will raise Vyhryst's rating but certainly won't bolster his confidence. The experienced Polish giant should be a more serious test.
At the end of September, Mariusz Wach won on points against Piotr Chwik in a 6-round bout.
