"I heard Usyk is going to fight the Mexican guy Andy Ruiz in Las Vegas," Chisora said in conversation with the hosts of the White and Jordan show.
Not long ago, it seemed that Usyk's next opponent would certainly be Deontay Wilder — the Ukrainian champion himself repeatedly expressed public interest in this match. However, plans changed sharply: Wilder signed a contract for an April fight with Chisora himself in London (presumably on April 4). The winner of this meeting is logically expected to face Usyk later in 2026.
Meanwhile, Ruiz Jr., the former world champion, has been looking for a major fight for a long time. He openly talked about wanting a rematch with Joshua or even fighting Usyk — and judging by Chisora’s words, negotiations have already reached the final stage.
It is worth adding that neither Usyk's promoters nor Ruiz's team have officially confirmed the information yet.
