Kazuto Ioka (32-4-1, 17 KO) once again stepped into the ring in Tokyo on New Year's Eve, securing his victory. The Japanese boxer has already held championship titles in four weight categories. Today he competed in the bantamweight division, and his next goal is the championship title in the fifth weight category.
Ioka narrowly lost his last two fights, so his opponent wasn't particularly strong. Mikel Ordosgoitti (15-2, 14 KO) valiantly held on for three rounds but was defeated in the fourth.
Earlier that evening, Daiya Kira (4-0, 3 KO) secured his latest victory, this time in the WBA eliminator semifinal in the 51 kg weight category. The 22-year-old Japanese boxer quickly accomplished his task — he won the first round and knocked out Ivan Garcia Balderas (13-5-1, 5 KO) in the second.
