The 44-year-old Holly Holm (34-2-3, 9 KO) may be the next opponent for Katie Taylor (25-1, 6 KO). It is expected that their rivalry might take place this spring at a tournament in New York.
In July, Taylor secured her third unanimous decision victory over Amanda Serrano, thus defending her undisputed world championship title in the super lightweight division. Recently, there was also talk about a possible fight between the Irishwoman and Ronda Rousey, but the negotiations quickly fell apart.
Holm is a former multiple-time world champion in professional boxing across three different weight categories and in mixed martial arts (UFC). The American returned to the ring in June of this year after a 12-year break, and her next fight is scheduled for January. Holm’s opponent will be Stephanie Han.
