The undefeated American boxer, conqueror of five divisions, 38-year-old Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KO) announced his decision to retire.

Crawford leaves the sport holding the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles in super middleweight after defeating Saul Alvarez by unanimous decision in September. "Bud" also held the WBC belt, but was stripped of it earlier this month due to non-payment of commission fees.

"Every fighter knows this moment comes. We just don't know when. All my life I've been chasing something. And it wasn't the belts, money, or headlines. It's that feeling when the whole world doubts you, but you continue to proclaim yourself and prove everyone wrong.

I fought for my family. I fought for my city. I fought for the kid I once was who had nothing but a dream and a pair of gloves. And I did it the way I saw fit. I gave this sport every breath, every scar, every success, every ounce of my heart. And I embrace the future. The time has come," Terence declared in a video posted on X.
